2018 Performances / Events

• Nov 23, 2018 – Horizon Ridge was honoured to play at the Lakeview United Church as part of the Weaselhead Presents Concert Series! (http://www.lakeviewunitedchurch.com/concert-events/).  It is one of the finest venues and concert series in our area.
• Nov 16, 2018 – Horizon Ridge performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/), Calgary AB as the opener for the very talented Madeleine Roger (http://www.madeleineroger.com/).  
• Oct 18-21, 2018 – The band had an exceptional experience at Showcase Alberta (https://www.artstouring.com/event/alberta-showcase-2018/) in Fort Saskatchewan AB.  We had a booth set up and got to meet so many wonderful presenters from around Alberta!!  We certainly hope to see them again!  The band also performed a couple songs on Saturday night.  Great fun all around.  
• Oct 13, 2018 – Horizon Ridge had a great evening as the closing act at Celtic Folk Calgary (http://www.celticfolkcalgary.ca/event/celtic-folk-family-roots-musical-traditions/).  
• Sept 21, 2018 – Horizon Ridge performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club, Calgary AB as the opener for the wonderful The Traveling Mabels (https://www.thetravelingmabels.com/).
• Sep 16, 2018 – 3rd Annual Spirit Rising Music Party and Fundraiser for the HiMat Initiative (http://www.fourworlds.ca/himat.html) at the Ironwood Stage and Grill (http://ironwoodstage.ca/).
• Sep 14, 2018 – Featured performer at the Varsity Open Stage night.
• Sep 8, 2018 – Horizon Ridge closed out the daytime festivities at the 2nd Mountain View Arts Festival, Didsbury AB.
• Aug 10-12, 2018 – Horizon Ridge was once again proud to play in southern BC a separate fundraisers in Crawford Bay and Boswell.  
• July 18, 2018 – Horizon Ridge played a private post-Stampede event for a Calgary-based company.
• July 5-14, 2018 – Calgary Stampede.  Horizon Ridge played 15 separate events over the Stampede including private events at the BMO Centre and on the grounds, as well as public performances at St. Barnabas Church, Windows on the West (in BMO Centre), Shell Canada, and Junction – Food.Stage.Bar (www.junctionyyc.com – check out the regular live music at this venue!) at 628-8th Ave SW, Calgary.
• June 23, 2018 – Water Valley Celtic Festival: Horizon Ridge played 2 sets and the band members participated in other sessions during the day.
• May 26th, 2018 – Horizon Ridge was honored to play the Health Reach Canada “Play It Forward” fundraising event at Southwood United Church with our friends Magnolia Buckskin.
• May 18-21, 2018 – The four members of Horizon Ridge taught two different classes at the Foothills Acoustic Music Institute (FAMI) May long weekend instructional camp:  Steven and Helen taught a Folk Ensemble and Dianne and Peter taught a Country Ensemble. It was such a thrill to spend a weekend with such enthusiastic and talented participants!
• May 11, 2018 – Horizon Ridge performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club, Calgary AB as the closing act for the Folk Club’s 2017-2018 season.  We are looking forward to an exciting 2018-2019 season.
• April 13, 2018 – Horizon Ridge performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club, Calgary AB as the opener for the Heebee-Jeebees (http://www.heebee-jeebees.com/),  Much fun was had by all.
• March 16, 2018 – Horizon Ridge performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club, Calgary AB on St. Patrick’s night as the opener for Hazel Grey and the Hubcaps (http://www.hazelgreymusic.com/Index.html).  Another great evening!
