2019 Performances / Events

• November 8, 2019 – performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/), Calgary AB as the opening act for Edmonton’s Tim Isberg  (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/tim-isberg/).  A fabuous night of songs and musicianship.
   
• November 2, 2019 – Horizon Ridge was very pleased to return to the Alberta Wilderness Association Music for the Wild Series (https://albertawilderness.ca/event/music-for-the-wild-horizon-ridge/).
   
• October 17-20, 2019 – For the 2nd year, we attended Showcase AB in Fort Saskatchewan and met presenters from around Alberta!
   
• September 22, 2019 – Horizon Ridge was very pleased to be part of the 4th Spirit Rising HiMat fundraiser held at the Ironwood Stage and Grill (http://ironwoodstage.ca) organized by Four Worlds (http://www.fourworlds.ca/himat.html) and our great friends Judie and Michael Bopp.
   
• September 21, 2019 – We were honoured to be asked, along with several others in our musical community, to peform two songs written by our great friend and excellent songwriter Murray LIttle at his CD release event for his CD “Lines of Time”.
   
• September 14, 2019 – Horizon Ridge performed the Saturday stage performance at the Calgary Ukulele Festival (https://calgarylifelonglearners.ca/Theatre-Schedule/).
   
• September 13, 2019 – performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/), Calgary AB as the opening act for the lovely Winter Wilson from the UK (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/winter-wilson/).  A great time was had by all.
   
• August 22-25, 2019 – Horizon Ridge band members Steve Goodchild and Peter May were honoured to be asked to teach mandolin and harmonica, respectively,  at the Foothills Acoustic Music Institute (FAMI) August camp.  See www.fami.ca for more information about that great organization.
   
• August 4/5, 2019 – Horizon Ridge was thrilled to do a main stage “tweener” and a Stage 4 set for the Canmore Folk Music Festival!!  Fantastic festival and an undescribably cool experience for the band. 
   
• July 25, 2019 – Horizon Ridge played a set and was the backup band for our friend Robert Ross’ CD release.  Robert is a country singer born in Canada and now living in Cairns Australia.  Check out his website (https://www.robertrossmusic.com/).
   
• July 4 – 13, 2019 – Horizon Ridge was proud once again to play several private and public shows as part of the Calgary Stampede – The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!
   
•  July 1, 2019 – Horizon Ridge celebrated Canada Day as part of Spruce Grove Alberta’s Canada Day celebration!  Despite a bit of rain, a great time was had by all!
   
• June 29, 2019 – The band had a great time playing a private anniversary party – a show also featuring Calgary’s own Steve Pineo.  Very fun evening!
   
• June 15, 2019 – Horizon Ridge and band members played a number of sets at the 21st Water Valley Celtic Festival (http://www.watervalleycelticfestival.org/).
   
• May 10, 2019 – performed as part of the season finale celebration at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/season-finale/) –  a tribute to the late Dick Howe, a founder of the Club and long-time member of the club house band.
   
• April 27, 2019 – was honoured to be part of the 2019 Climb for Wilderness fundraiser for the AWA held at The Bow Building (500 Centre St SE, Calgary, AB).  See https://albertawilderness.ca/ .
   
• March 15, 2019 – performed at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/), Calgary AB at the St. Patrick’s Day celebration opener for the exceptional David Morrissey and Sonas (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/saint-patricks-day/).  
   
• March 8, 2019 – Horizon Ridge was honoured to be featured at the On The Edge Concert Series (https://reddeerlakeuc.com/concert-series-2018/) at Red Deer Lake United Church on Highway 22X just south of Calgary, AB.
   
• January 18, 2019 – performed at the Robbie Burns Night celebration at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club (https://www.rockyfolkclub.com/), as the opening act for the exciting celtic band Cabot’s Crossing  ( http://www.cabotscrossing.com/).
